Agglomeration of Spray-Dried Milk Powder in a Spray Fluidized Bed: A Morphological Modeling

چکیده

The type of solid substrate plays a critical role in determining the kinetics spray fluidized bed (SFB) agglomeration process. In case porous (also soft) primary particles (PPs), droplet aging is due to imbibition and drying. surface properties also change imbibition. focus present work simulate spray-dried milk powder using Monte Carlo (MC) method coupled with drying-imbibition model. order extract morphology formed agglomerates, an aggregation model employed. Further, this employed predict number positions on PPs (later agglomerates) for deposition; previously, ‘concept positions’ was used. transient growth different powders (whole skim) depicted enhanced MC enhancement deposition had prominent influence overall agglomeration. As expected, predicted that rate skim higher than whole powder.
